How to Get Free Food From DoorDash If Your November SNAP Benefits Are Delayed

Millions of American families face food insecurity as the government shutdown disrupts SNAP payments, with emergency funds covering only about half of recipients.

To help fill the gap, DoorDash has stepped in with a national relief effort aimed at ensuring no one goes hungry during this crisis.

DoorDash’s Food Emergency Response Initiative

Through Project DASH, DoorDash has launched its Food Emergency Response initiative, pledging to provide one million free meals in partnership with local food banks and community pantries across the country.

The company’s plan includes:

• Free Deliveries: DoorDash is waiving delivery fees on up to 300,000 grocery orders from partner stores like Sprouts, Wegmans, Food Lion, and Dollar General.

• Direct Food Donations: The company is also sending food directly from its DashMart locations to local pantries and nonprofits that serve low-income families.

How to Get DoorDash Help

If your SNAP benefits are delayed or suspended, you can still access help through DoorDash:

1. Link your SNAP/EBT card to your DoorDash account.

2. Enter the promo code: SNAPDD when placing your order.

This offer provides free delivery on one grocery order and is valid until November 30, 2025. (Limit: one use per person.)

The federal shutdown has temporarily disrupted SNAP operations, leaving many families unsure about their next food payment.

After a federal court ruling, the government was ordered to release emergency funds to cover 50% of recipients starting November 5, 2025.
