SSI Reminder: November Payments Arrive Early on October 31

Many Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients will see their November benefit payment hit their accounts earlier than usual this year.

Since November 1 falls on a Saturday, the Social Security Administration (SSA) will issue SSI payments on Friday, October 31.

This is a standard SSA schedule adjustment when the 1st of the month falls on a weekend or federal holiday, benefits are paid the business day before.

Who Gets Paid Early?

  1. People who receive SSI benefits for November.

  2. This includes seniors, adults with disabilities, and qualifying children with limited income and resources.

  3. If you get both SSI and Social Security benefits, your Social Security payment date will not change, only the SSI portion comes early.

How Payments Are Sent

  • Direct deposit: Funds typically appear in your account by midnight or early morning on October 31.

  • Direct Express® card: Payments load on the same day.

  • Paper checks: May arrive a few days later depending on mail delivery.
