If you receive Social Security or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits, it's important to know exactly when your payments are scheduled to arrive.

Here’s the complete breakdown for May 2025.

 

Complete May 2025 Payment Schedule

  • May 1 (Thursday)Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Payment

    • Individuals: up to $967

    • Eligible couples: up to $1,450

    • SSI provides monthly support to qualifying low-income seniors and individuals with disabilities.

  • May 2 (Friday)Social Security Group 1
    Payment for those who:

    • Filed for retirement benefits before May 1997

    • Receive both SSI and Social Security

    • Have Medicare premiums paid by the state

    • Reside outside the United States

  • May 14 (Wednesday)Social Security Group 2

    • Payment for those with birth dates between the 1st and 10th of any month.

  • May 21 (Wednesday)Social Security Group 3

    • Payment for those with birth dates between the 11th and 20th.

  • May 28 (Wednesday)Social Security Group 4

    • Payment for those with birth dates after the 20th.

  • May 30 (Friday)June SSI Payment (Early Payment)

    • Since June 1 falls on a weekend, SSI recipients will receive their June benefit early.
